McKean has extensive experience in current day knowledge management methods, techniques and community of practice as shown by our implementation of a "Learning Organization" for the Surface Warfare Enterprise (SWE) support. This effort is in surface ship maintenance and modernization availability improvement. Our experience includes extensive domain knowledge in the Naval Air Enterprise (NAE) and is specifically associated with the Aircraft Carrier sustainment and modernization support efforts. Our personnel have held positions such as Planning and Performance Manager, with duties of creating our customer's Strategic Plans and participation in Lean events.
While NAE represents a broad array of programs, objectives, and initiatives, McKean is ready to assist the Navy with the specifics of most, if not all, the key areas. Examples of these areas are; Smart Carrier, CVN 21 Sustainment, Carrier Team One, Life Cycle Maintenance Task Group, and Carrier Readiness Team. Our knowledge and participation in these initiatives and the many changes that have either already been implemented or that are being planned for the Navy coupled with a thorough understanding of the new ShipMain initiatives, modernization processes and emerging technologies give our team a strong position to support both legacy and future challenges faced by the carrier community.
