(Philadelphia, PA) - McKean Defense Group, LLC today announced it won a small business set-aside single award, cost-plus-fixed-fee task order from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The task order has a one-year base term and four one-year option periods, and a total value of over $17 million if all options are exercised. McKean and our team mates will provide technical, logistic, program management and engineering support services in support of NSWCCD-SSES Code 912 Aircraft Carrier Program Office, including Aircraft Carrier Availability Strategic Improvement Initiative commonly referred at "Team One", logistic life cycle support to the Distributed Data and Control Networks (DDCN) program, provide engineering support to the repair, installation, maintenance and testing of Machinery Control Systems, perform Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis, establish new/modified maintenance concepts for shipboard systems.

(Philadelphia, PA) - McKean Defense Group, LLC today announced it won an unrestricted single award, cost-plus-fixed-fee task order from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The task order has a two-year base term and three one-year option periods, and a total value of over $20 million if all options are exercised. McKean will provide engineering, logistics, and program management services in support of NSWCCD-SSES Code 61 Materials LCM/ISE Group, including identifying candidate coating systems for use onboard U.S. Navy vessels, performing laboratory analytical evaluations of in-service fuels, lubricants and hydraulic fluids, providing engineering and technical support for the operation, maintenance, and design of sacrificial anode and Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems, and Providing materials engineering technical support for the evaluation of system and component failures resulting from the improper selection or improper use of materials.

The task order has a five-year term, and a total value of over $1.6 million. McKean will be responsible for maintaining the library of commercial technical manuals, and implementing and maintaining a central database to support retrieval and lending of documents to the Fleet. We also will provide integrated logistics support, digital data support, and information and image management support. "We are extremely pleased to be selected to support this important library and logistics function for NAVAIR METCAL program," said Larry Burrill, President of McKean Defense Group - Information Technology. McKean will provide engineering, technical and management support to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, PA, including: developing and modifying Computer Based Training (CBT), Navy eLearning (NeL) and Interactive Courseware Development (ICW): conducting analyses of Human Capital Object (HCO) data; performing reviews of training courses and training manuals; and providing Distance Support training for the integration of Distance Support 2.0/NIAPS technology onboard US Navy ships.

The task order has a three-year base term and two one-year option periods, and a total value of over $9 million if all options are exercised. McKean will provide strategic business planning, operations, metrics and program management support services. Additionally, McKean will design strategic & technology roadmaps, manage alternative funding programs and the associated phase development processes, facilitate the technology engagement program and develop, coordinate and maintain program documentation and databases.

(Philadelphia, PA and Fairfax, VA) - McKean Defense Group, LLC (McKean) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Lloyd Lamont Design, Inc (LLD). Based in Fairfax, VA., LLD is a leading innovator in the Federal and DoD Information Technology arena, with over a 20 year history of providing outstanding information technology support to its federal civilian and DoD customers. Through this acquisition, McKean Defense Group LLC, a small business expands its capabilities to include engineering and technical services in the areas of naval engineering and design, acquisition and logistics, systems safety, machinery controls engineering, IT solutions and knowledge-based applications.

With representatives in northern Virginia and San Diego, LLD has worked closely with various DoD and Federal Civil customers for over 20 years. Founded in 1986, LLD expanded its initial products and services and now has more than 25 employees providing technical expertise to the military and other federal government agencies. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The company's employees will transition into McKean's Information Technology Sector. They will continue to operate from their present locations in support of current customers as the integration moves forward.
